I guess I want to see owners who have a lot of miles and see what they say about it. Like over 120,000 miles or more.

109,000+...

Still loving it! :)

Look for the 100,000 mile thread where people with 100,000+ miles are posting.
How does it fare mechanically compared to new?

(Does it seem to behave identically while being driven?)

Nothing seems to have changed. Still runs like a top, no issues at all. change the oil and filter between 5,000 and 7,500 miles. Trans oil will be changed out in the coming weeks as well.

Only things that need to be done in my experience are the following:

Oil/Filter change (every 5-7.5k)
Rear diff change, I do mine at 50k, but most others do theirs 35-50k... depends on the noise it makes.
Air filter gets cleaned every 25-30k (CAI with K&N)
Cabin filters get changed every 30k
Front brake pads changed every 30-40k (rotors lasted ~90k)
Rear brake pads last double fronts (rotors will be changed soon, they are fairly worn)
Tires last approx 50-60k (Nokian WR SUV)
Anti-freeze and brake fluid changed at approx 3 yrs
Spark plugs were changed at approx 85k, this I recommend be done at 40-50 k.

believe it or not but I have yet to perform an alignment! Doesn't pull at all, surprises the hell out of me every day. lol

Off the top of my head this is pretty much everything that I have done in terms of maintenance to my Element in close to 5 yrs of ownership.

55,000+ Will be 2 years old at the end of October. Original Goodyear LS2's look great still and will probably be good through the winter. Have only done standard maintenance on it.
