I was not pleased when the gvt side-impact results were released this week. I was hoping for a 5-star rear-passenger rating. It received a 4 (I know still good) but with the tag line: higher likelihood of head injury.
I looked back and the last time Honda had a tag line like that (1999 4dr Civic) it was corrected with the next model year.
Is Honda likely to look at these results and do some shifting of the backseats to correct it? If so, might we be likely to see it in the 2004 model or later?
That result has made me hesitate about buying and E because that's where my kids will be sitting. I'm still debating but know that I could buy and Odyssey with 5-stars and no tag line. However, I don't like the Odyssey and really want to wait for an improved Element.
My dealer didn't have any ideas about this topic, but I thought someone who has dealt with Honda longer might speculate based on experience.
Thanks a bunch.
