I really, really, really wish Bluebeard was an AWD E. I can't get up my damn driveway in him.

That is all. I'm gonna mope now.

What kind of tires do you have? Replacing the low profile high performance tires on my son's older Civic Si with four cheap snow tires on steel wheels made it a little Jeep. Before the swap it would get stuck in just 1" of snow on a level street. Now he looks for drifted snow and hills to climb.
Look on craigslist for someone selling steelies that would fit your E and put a set of winter tires on it. Should make a world of difference.
yup...........get some snow tires ASAP!!

I drive with Blazzaks and love them.......never slip, never get stuck.
The problem with OE tires on any vehicle is that they are driven by three needs.

Summer performance.
Fuel Economy.
Comfort.

These are all based on customer expectations for the type of vehicle they buy.

Winter tires have become more popular the last few than they have ever been where i am.

The OE tires on the E work fine for most people in the winter until they start to wear.

A good set of winter tires on any fwd vehicle will make a world of difference. The Firestone Winterforce and the BFG Winter Slolam are good choices and they are a resonable price.

Hit a deer. The carcass of the dead deer draped across the hood of the Element will provide enough additional weight to improve traction. Cold weather will minimize the stench for at least a couple of months. Vision may be impaired. Don't try this with a moose. Snow tires are also a good idea.

Hope this helps.

Hey! How are all of my old EOC buddies. Miss you folks.

Pretty good, what have you been up to?
Enjoying life, avoiding stress and taking my vitamins. Very happy with the Scion xB2 that replaced the Element, but there is no Scion equivalent to the EOC. Nothing even comes close.

Give me a reason to talk to you, YOU traitor !

You don't come to any of the NorthEast events. You don't drop by the forum at all anymore.

You go out and get a sycon ( Short for Syco convict ) and drop off the face of the earth.

The worst part is you took Uncle mike with you!

The hot sauce is good !

XB!!!you got rid of your E'' for that ...dang man ya git dropped on yer head...

These look interesting.

I think the pic of the humvee wearing them is pretty funny. A H1 could blaze through three feet of snow with racing slicks, it don't need no stinkin' traction aids. Well it might need the "Tire Chain in a Can."

Talk to me because I hold a special place in your heart, you are a naturally charming conversationalist, and I have the winning Lottery numbers for next week.

Hi Mike, nice to hear from you. How's that Xb getting you over those hills in the snow?
Not as well as the Element, but with traction control it gets the job done.

Yes, but that had nothing to do with selling the Element.

and we should talk after you defected?
Only if you want those Lottery numbers.

Hey jurn, thanks for the pics. That looks like Jabba the Hutt eating dinner with my family.
Happy holidays, good to hear from you all, and I’ll speak to Uncle Mike

Kdean- Sorry to hijack your thread. Hope you get your traction problem worked out.

I really hate to say this but my 2009 Scion xB out did my 2006 Honda Element 4WD in the recent snow we had in the Northern Virginia area over the last week.
