I met this man at Costco while filling up and he told me to check this forums out and here I am!

I have been looking for an Element for a while but the only listings I found in the area that weren't charging more than an arm & a leg was this link below.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/1235822319.html

The only about this vehicle is that it has a "salvage title" and so I want to see what everyone else thinks?

Good luck getting a salvaged title vehicle financed. I would not buy a salvaged titled rig unless I personally knew who fixed it and seen the damage before the repair.
I would keep looking. How much do you want to spend. Seen one for $13500 next to the road in Corvallis OR. Don't know the particulars but it looked nice.

Here it is http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/1237455203.html 2006 $13,500

Another worth checking out http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/1236245613.html 2003 $6500

One more http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/ctd/1241022904.html $7950

And if you don't care about a salvaged title http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/1241654940.html 2006 $10,800 All wheel drive 22k miles.
You really need to ask a lot of questions on a salvaged title unit. #1 are the airbags replaced and functioning and many many more.

Don't know the details on them but might be worth a call.

Good luck!

Ditto the above, unless you inspected the vehilce before, during, and after the repairs - forget it. Could be flood/water damage which could give the vehicle electrical gremlins forever, no matter what was replaced/fixed. And have seen salvage/repaired vehicles where, as was posted, the airbags were never replaced (expensive), nor were the seatbelts replaced (a must after an accident). Way too many ify things in a salvage title, unless you really trust the shop that did the repairs/rebuild.
