I got my Element at Penske Honda here in Indy, 500 mile race weekend. Love the car! Drove it to Orlando, FL In July and now have logged 5100 miles on it. Some problems with noise in the rear hatch which has been taken care of. Oh yea, cracked windshield on the Orlando trip coming back. Got it fixed for $35.00 and you can't even tell it.

I live about an hour east of Indy. Got my EBP EX on Nov 3, 2003. Just turned 1000 miles a couple of days ago. Absolutely no problems what-so-ever so far (knock on wood)!

Only 4 Elements in my town that I know of, each one a different color. I don't know anything about the others though (EX or DX, 2wd or awd, auto or manual?)

Got my E in Muncie at Victory Honda last September.
Only got about 3800 miles on it and I've had no problems whatsoever.

I've installed the keyless entry and the center console. Will soon be adapting the old drivers armrest to the passenger side. Also added a XM Roady and it sounds great!

Welcome (officially... kind of late) chozn4service!

As far as your cracked windshied goes, did you merely receive a bull chip or an actual crack? I'm just curious how the crack might have been repaired. My windshield got hit by a rock on the test drive (no apparent chip... rock struck under the passenger side windshield wipers so I didn't notice) and my windshield cracked on the way home! :( I got a free replacement from my dealer though since my salesmen was in the car and witness the rock hit during the test drive. Now I am constantly paranoid about driving on the freeway!

Anyways, I love my "E" thoroughly and I'm sure you will love yours as well! :)

Take care,

Lego, I just got your post. Anyway I was thinking why didn't ya ask me on the Honda.org site but I go under the username of Dixon on that one and for some reason it's not up and running today, Oct. 25th. I had a star in my windshield and what they did to repair it was to drill a small hole in the strike zone and the spider cracks (two) that were created. They then apply glue to it, then apply a miniture air compressor that sucks the glue out of the crack. they then apply this clear piece of plastic on the area surface after having put some more glue on the surface. Once dry, they take a razor blade and scrape off the residual and it's like it never happened. The guy who did my first repair is a genuis but the second time it happened I couldn't locate him so I went with another service that basically did the same thing and warrants it from spreading. I have a very small star. My suction cup for my radar detector sits on the strike zone so I can't see it. If and when my windshield needs replacement I'll go aftermarket on it.

"dixon"!!! Welcome to EOC!! Yeah, I noticed that the "other" site is down tonight also... I'm glad it's not just me; I thought I got too rowdy and got banned or something! ;)

Well, I'm glad you're postin' in here. Lot's of people you know already, and lots of other quality people to meet. I find it more fun in here, mostly because of the great people, but also the variety and frequency of posts. I am certain that you'll have PLENTY of good stuff to contribute to EOC, and hopefully vice-versa! Again, WELCOME! :)
