Hmm, that sure looks unaerodynamic. It would be like pulling a parachute behind you.

I remember seeing the Gypsy trailers in Eastern Europe...............except they were pulled by horses

While it is a cool looking design especially while parked in a camp site. I do not like it at all, it is nothing short of a parachute! Poor design.

There is a reason they are pulled by a horse... :-D

These Gypsy caravan home-builts were getting some interest a few years ago, with plans available on the Internet. My brother followed one into a campground in Banff National Park last year. By the time the poor guy got it up the (rough) road and into a spot - the road had pretty well shaken it apart.

The thing sort of collapsed backwards into a pile of parts. :twisted:

I can't imagine towing the thing (canvas top) without it inflating !!

This is starting to become more prevalent amongst the hardcore T&TTT crowd (teardrops and tiny travel trailers).

They build a teardrop or two and then head into an exotic design (possibly out of boredom) . . . Rick, the guy building it, is a superb craftsman . . . he built a fantastic Benroy Teardrop that was really, really nice. The Vardo will be his second build (I think)
