There are all kinds of goodies like that.
I have been looking at a couple that are all in one units.

http://www.plxdevices.com/
The scan gauge is pretty cheap, but not expandable. It reads what it
sees from the OBDII port, and can be a mini trip computer with info you put in.
It is also very simple looking.
The PLX is really expensive, but very expandable. It reads everything on your
OBDII port, and you can add sensors that your OBDII port doesnt have. If
you wanted to read oil temp or oil pressure, you can just add those sensors
and sensor readers to the main unit. Pretty kewl. The display looks like a
regular gauge, its in full color, and you can customize it to your tastes.
I would get one of these because you can keep it in your can. What are you
going to do with the info???
The scan gauge can be purchased for less than the software you posted,
about $125 or so new if you really look around. The PLX is over $300 for
the full version, plus each sensor is about another $75. Like I said, really
expensive. You can type both of the names into you tube and see demos.
