Obviously there's a lot of solid DIY storage options for long-haul camping. But has anyone come across some good premade rugged storage units for camping that mount easily into an E? It would be nice to not have to stack top-loaded tubs. and tie them down.

It depends on how much junk you need to take to go "camping", how often you camp, and what you do with the stuff between trips. We take a LOT, camp infrequently, and don't have the space to waste on specialized storage containers.

So being able to store the storage containers betwern seasons and trips in our unheated detached garage is as important as how well they transport. We use 2 Rubbermaid containers, one for inside the tent, one for sundries.

They are tall enough that stacking them would impede rear vision, but stacking them between trips is eady. They fit snug transversely against the rear seat back, don't scratch the interior.

That leaves room for a family size tent, screen room, cooking table, camp stove and two bulky sleeping bags behing the rear seat. Food and clothing is packed in soft luggage and cooler.

If we camped more frequently, I'd consider a Chuck Box from Blue Sky. To replace one Rubbermaid, but it would need to be stored in the house
