Here's the scoop. The dealer called me Friday to say that they expect to be able to deliver the "E" on Wednesday of next week. They are waiting for some accesories, however. At the same time, I had confirmation from a client whose wife works at Honda that my "E" was delieverd to the dealer on Wedneday at 10:00. Had they the accessories on hand, I would have it today.

So, why has the dealer not got the accessories after three and one-half months? Especially when I ordered accessories through my client about three weeks ago and am going to pick two of the three of them up today? Poor planning on the part of the dealership.

If it's not next Wenesday I get it, I will be quite unhappy with them.

Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick.

I think they could have had these accessories waiting for your car. Sheeze. It's not like they didn't know it was coming.

Yeah, I was tempted to be a real sh*t today and ask to see my "E" that they are holding ransom.

I am off to see my client whose wife works at Honda Canada. It would be interesting to ask her what the real deal is regarding the surveys - at least in Canada.

Oh, and welcome to our honouraruy Canadian, "TheLusciousHellcat". :D

I am thrilled to be an Honourary Canadian. The place I love most in the whole world is Vancouver and if I realize my dream of moving to Seattle, I can visit quite often.

Good luck with your E. The day you get it I will drink a Molson in your honour!

I used to live in Seattle/Tacoma area.....beautiful when I lived there in the early 90's.....then I moved to Alaska.....drove the Alcan up (wish I had the E then)......absolutely...hands down....the VERY best road trip ever!

Vancouver.....the best city in North America to get lost in....I ended up stopping at a hotel and asking directions....I still have the little map that the bellhop drew for me to get back to the highway!

Kim....I hope you get your chance to live your dream....I think we all should :)

My SOP E arrived late last night...And I went to the dealership to check it out. All wrapped up in plastic...Kinda' cool. The dealer assures me that they have all the accessories and that any they don't have are 24 hours away. I pick up midweek...I am away in Toronto for three days...Figures that the day I leave town is the day my car arrives...After 4 months of waiting.

Cool. I was wondering where trackboy was. Glad to hear you're getting the "E". :D Hope to see you at the Ikea meet on the 26th.

Yeah, if I get my "E" on Wednesday, I have to go to Ottawa on Thursday, back on Friday. Then I will drive to my parent's place on Sunday and back to 'Sauga on Monday to fly back to Ottawa for another two days. The drive to my parents round trip is about 400 kn, so that's a good portion of the break-in at least.

Interestingly, when I spoke with my cleint's wife today, she told me that my "E" was not in my dealer's allotment for this month. It was given to them for me by a senior Honda manager. My client's wife had made inquiries for me before in which she was told it would be seen to. :D

Counting down the minutes almost now to turning over the engine and driving away "in my Element". :D

Hope to see you on the 25th at IKEA in Burlinton. Bring some lunch, a camera and anything else you want. Should be a hoot. I'm hoping we can have the Biggest "E-Vent" so far in North America. Talk it up and show up.

Cheers
Bob
