Greetings. I'm posting two links below. The first is a thread that appeared here in another forum a month or so back and mentioned some Element owners in Japan who did some modifications to their E's. The second link is the actual link in Japan that illustrates the modifications.

1. http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28967

2. http://7013engineering.com/ELEMENT/page011.html

Question. I have asked my wife to help interpret the Japanese directions in link number two so the translation could be posted here. She's kind of busy (I know..we all are). Is there any chance I can get some help from some of you living in Japan to get a translation of the information at link 2?

Of particular interest is the link at the top of the page, second modification from the top. It illustrates the owner creating a storage area using yellow poles and a cargo net.

I got to looking through the instructions for the overhead storage, and from what I can translate, it is built primarily from "Irekuta Pipe", which you may need to find a suitable substitue for unless you have a way of getting it from Japan. Check out the link I found with a quick search...there's all sorts of fittings available so you can build nearly anything. Pretty cool.

Would this be our equivalent of PVC piping?
