My friend has that on their Jeep and you should be able to make anything fit but how would it look.

That would look pretty sweet if they fit. But just eyeballing the two cars I would say that the E is wider and I don't know if that light fixture would look good with gaps on the sides...

If you have to go through that effort to make everything look right in the end, you could probably save a lot of money and buy some simple rally style lights and fab an enclosure...not only for much less, probably look better too

Have you priced the thing? Something like $4-500 I think.

Installation would require drilling the roof, and possibly loosening the headliner.

Have you compare the width of the two roofs? How about curvature? My gut sense is that the pre 2008 Liberty is narrower. 2008+ is boxier.

The E has channels molded into the roof, the Liberty does not.

The way to put lights on the roof with no drilling is to get a roof rack (e.g. Yakima), and light brackets that fit the front cross bar.

Another consideration - when and where can you use those lights (legally)?
