Spoke with JL Audio last week. They again took the car for sound tests. I was advised that they will further "tweek" the box as they want more air space for lower sounds. The mold for my box was made fitting 2 molds(top & bottom) together making the box. From this mold they plan on making the all in one box. They rejected the idea of putting the sub in the center console. I expect to hear from them again in about 3 weeks.

I just hope they don't design the sub to fit into the spare tire compartment. I would hope the sub might be enclosed into a center console/arm rest style. If this design was utilized, JL could also integrate a padded armrest/storage compartment. This design would also have to account for the parking brake lever. I really hope their design leave's all currently available large floor/cargo space. Hey JL, are ya listening?

Ya- if they're planning on bolting down some sort of mold in the cargo area - not good - it needs to be removable.

Do you know what they're up to?

The plan is stil to mold the stealthbox into the current location of the sub.

That's Cool. Hopefully they'll put it where originally planned (in the location of the stock sub). I am desperately waiting for some new tunes, but waiting for this stealth box to come out so that I can utilize it (all the other options don't look at useable as the stock location). Thanks for the update.

Any new news on the Stealthbox. I am anxious, I have clean mids and highs now all I need is some good bass.
