How do I know which remote to buy off of ebay for my E? So many choices of remotes to get. I don't have an existing remote to pull any numbers from.

I bought a couple of them on Ebay from a dealer who asked what model and year I had before they'd even sell me any. A few of the individual sellers were selling remotes that were "supposed" to fit my '08 but were also "supposed" to fit everything from '03 to '08 (not possible) so be careful.
Viper has some nice systems...
Are you offering to buy me the iPhone compatible remote start? I won't say no :D

If you want a combo remote key, part number 35111-SHJ-305 is the Ridgeline all-in-one remote/key. It works in 07s and later (also works in earlier models by swapping the immobilizer chip from an existing key).

It costs around $40. I paid $28 to have the key cut, and swapped the RFID chip from my valet key. The dealer wanted $52 to program the immobilizer, so I did the chip swap instead. See http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57813 for instructions on programming the remote and swapping the RFID chip.
before you buy a key fob, check under your dash to see if there is a keyless entry box installed. I bought ym 2004 E thinking it didnt have keyless entry yet each time i locked my car my drivers door would unlock all by itself. I checked under the dash found the little box thanks to HandA install instructions and was able to pull the number off that for my order.
I just bought the keyless entry system from HandA Accessories and followed the instructions on their website and installed it in 10 minutes. REALLY!!! It worked perfectly. This is the way stuff ought to work. Plug it in and it works. You get a bracket, a small bolt, a transmitter and two key fobs. I put it on my 2003 Element and it makes the lights flash and the horn honk. HAPPY!!! :)
P.S. YOU DON'T NEED TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.

thanks for the 35111-SHJ-305 Ridgeline hint! $25 to cut and $30 to program in Chicago http://www.generallock.biz/
