I have always been on the fence with the metallic grey panels and liked the look of black better to match my NHBP paint.

I went with the fusion satin black, turned out well I think for $20 in paint.




(sorry, crappy pics from my office.)

I tried sanding but the panels plastic is too soft and rubbery, not like the roof cladding which is a harder plastic.

I did the roof trim with gloss black and sanded them smooth first.

I like this, I plan on doing something similar with my E once I get the garage free to spray in.

i don't like taping so I removed the panels one at a time and painted them.
the fusion's dry time is key!
make sure you scrub and degrease a couple times before you do it otherwise armor all or other plastic dressing/treatments will ruin your day.
