I would guess their "Market research" told them that the sales would be better in the other colors and Green and Orange would be less likely to sell.

Little did they know.

Actually, I would be curious how many of what colors they made, or are making.

[quote:63ac15e096="lalabela"]I've heard they are making mostly Silver, Black, and Blue... They didn't think Shoreline Mist, Green, and SOP would be as popular. I was set on the green, but it turned out I prefered the Shoreline.[/quote:63ac15e096]

Yeah, I felt the same way. Seeing them in person is a must before making a final selection. I think the orange looks great, much better than I thought it would, but was disappointed by Blue and Green. I think the black is okay, but you miss out on the contrast of the panels, which I think is a plus in the looks dept. With that said, I don't hate any of the colors. Obviously, color choice is very personal.

Mine (which I am picking up later this afternoon or tomorrow morning depending on when they finish installation of accessories) is Shoreline Mist .

It does seem the dealers have very few of the Green and SOP; I have seen one Shoreline Mist, but it was sold.

You would think Honda would turn up production of the Green, SOP, and Shoreline Mist. I guess they get Feedback from the dealers

My dealership told me that only 2% of Elements manufactured will be SOP. :( That's why I had to grab it while I could!

Yeah it's probably

2% SOP 3 % Green 6% Shoreline Mist

35 % Silver 29 % Blue 25 % Black

But it looks like 33% Silver, 33% Blue, and 33% Black

When Honda gives us our allocations, they will sometimes "constrain" colors. That is, they will hold back for whatever reason a particular color.

When the E first came out, the Galapogos Green was an unknown as was the Orange. We got burned a number of times with funky Honda colors. I knew the Green was a decent color as we had it in the Civic...but the Orange?

After we ordered then initially, we were pleased and so were our customers. We have since ordered both colors with each allocation. However, that being said, no dealer is going to get realy "top-heavy" in any color. It doesn't make for a good mix.
