We are looking for a way to strenghten the tube frame surrounding the gas tank on our Element. Are there any after-market products that would enhance this protection? When we checked the underbody layout-- we were a bit concerned over the exposure issue. The gas tank seems a bit exposed to road hazards etc.
Looking For Some Form of Skid Plates To Protect Gas Tank

There has been numerous discussions about a fuel tank skid plate on forums for a while. No one that I know of is yet making one. I think in the next 6 months you will be seeing many new accessories for the E being introduced, and I am sure a fuel tank skid plate will be one of them.
