Maintenance Indicator Purpose

The indicator light is just a recommended scheduled maintenance reminder-it can't tell if the work is necessary or if you've done the work. For peace of mind, perform any scheduled maintenance that you haven't already done, and reset the nag light.

With the car off, press the trip reset button and hold it while turning the key on, continue holding it for 10 seconds or untill the light goes out. as already stated it is just a reminder to do the oilchanges and other services and will come on at preset intervals regaurdless of whether or not it was actually done. Sometimes even the mechanics at the Honda dealer forget to do it when they perform the secvices.

Well I must admit...this was the first time I used this forum and I'm totally impressed. Thank you for taking the time to send me an answer. I'm good about the maintenance but, one never knows.

Does the light come on around 49,750 for the 50,000 mile service ?

i think it more or less depends on the last time the dealer reset the light and how many miles have been put on since then than anything else.

maybe it will it depends onwhen you reset it. Its just a light that comes on every 10k than flashes if you havent reset it, then if you still dont reset it, it just stays on all the time. Or something like that. Just a timer light though.
