Missing roof rack mount cover

Just came in from the garage where I had noticed the front cap that covers the roof rack mount on the passenger side was gone :x

Do these things just come off by themselves (not likely), or was I a victim of theft or vandalism? Don't know, but I do know I'd like to replace it.

Is my best bet for replacement going to be the dealer? I have already had a look around the interwebs, but don't have a part number for a really thorough search...

Really annoying that my 6 month old vehicle is shedding parts already....

If you wash it at the car wash the dryer can somtimes blow them off,I lost one this way.

Majestic may actually have Rootbeer listed as copper glow.

Actually, I've found a few sites that refer to the RBM paintcode (YR569M)
as Copper Glow. Some of these were Canadian (.ca) or other countries.

Is Root Beer Metallic the domestic (US) designation only? Majestic Honda is apparently located in Rhode Island, so it confounds me that they would list that paint color for the SC (or any other Element for that matter). :?
I had never seen a reference to that color prior to last Saturday...

My listing here in Canada also calls it Mayan Bronze Metallic.

Different names for the same colour is not unusual for Honda.

We also have Atomic Blue aka Neutron Blue aka Proton Blue.

Mine had blown off twice. Once I found it in the car wash, second time no idea where it landed. Decided against spending 150 for the piece of plastic at the local dealer and just add a roof rack.

Actually a pre-painted cap should only be $8.77 from Majestic above since Kustom has an SC. I have no idea what the $150 refers to.

I'm not sure where you're seeing that price,but when I checked it was listed at $5.03 for the pre painted cap,since it's also an SC model,which is the same as the O.P.

I always loved the extra handling charge that some places add. Just hate when your $5 part becomes a $20 item. I ordered my part (not from Majestic) but have not received it yet. Not something that they keep in stock, and comes from the manufacturer. Shipping charges were high from them as well, but no 'handling' charge. Paid $3 less than Majestic wanted for the same part. hondapartsdeals.com (Saccucci Honda). Every little bit helps...

Last night I just noticed one of my end caps was missing from the factory roof rack. I'm guessing it may have come off from a car wash last week but I only just noticed it. I ordered a couple of replacements from H and A this morning for $3.75 each plus $10 shipping (which is more than the caps!!) But what can I do - the closest Honda dealership is almost 3 hours away:twisted:
