Okay fellow adventurous E owners in the midwest....hubby and I are looking for a campsite with lots to see and do in the general area of St. Louis....lets say no more than 5 hours away from St. Louis.....any recomendations??

We would appreciate any thoughts!

You guys need to check out our neck o the woods, ...Southern Illinois. Giant City State park has camping, and there are quite a few others..Area much like the Bootheel..just pretty. LBL in Ky. is pretty good too. Giant City would be about 2 1/2 hr drive for you. LBL about 4 hours. This time of year all the vinyards around here are having weekend music festivals and wine tastings..Gotta hurry before it gets too hot tho!

Diane, don't forget about the Great River Road and Pierre Marquette State Park near Grafton. Probably under an hour for you and fun camping, hiking and drive. Heck, we could maybe meet you guys down there sometime.

We may just have to check that out.....I like the fact that it is so close! Not that I mind driving by any means, but it is nice when you only have two days to get there fast and enjoy!

And yes that would be cool if you guys could come on down and meet p with us! We could have a mini E meet!
