I bought another kenwood mp3 player, i installed it in the element, and its the best, i could put up to 170 songs just on one cd, not only does it sound clear, but it tells you the name of the artist and the song on the head unit, you could also organize folders, so for instance put 40 rap songs on one folder, make a folder for rock, another for spanish music, another for whatever your taste is, and scroll the folders, organize your music anyway that you like, imagine, for instance, if you want rap, just go to the rap folder and hear rap, MP3 player decks is the way to go, its just so cool.

I have a 2005 Element with a factory installed CD/MP3 player that also has the FOLDER function. I can burn MP3 to a CD and play them fine. But, I can't figure out how to burn the MP3 files to the CD so my player will recognize FOLDERS. What software are you using to burn your MP3 CDs with a FOLDER set-up? Plus, any insturcitons on how to use it to set up FOLDERS on an MP3 CD would be greatly appreciated! I have tried itunes and Musicmatch free version with no success.

Thanks!

I have the 05 element and use Musicmatch Jukebox for burning mp3 discs with folders. The factory stereo reads them just fine.

Hope this helps.

Just create the folders in your CD-burning software and then drop in the MP3's to the specific folders. It's that simple. :)

If you burn the music as music its in .wav format. If you burn the music as DATA then its in mp3 format. Music on a computer is usually in mp3 format for sake of storage space.
