I was installing the nut-holder-screw for the Table Legs that will hold up the cargo area floor as a little table.

Under the cargo area floor I noticed another bracket/clip and a hole, probably for something else to be attached. BUT WHAT?

ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS FOR?

There is also a pop-out plug, as if for the pole for an umbrella for the table, in the center of the cargo area floor.

I hope I can include a picture of the underside of this cargo area floor that I am talking about. I

I think, what you are talking about is the bracket to hold the full size tire in place if you get a flat. (That is what the hole is for) Because the full size tire is to big for the spare compartment, you have to secure it through the hole in the cover with a bracket.

I hate to disagree, but...

My cover has the hole to, but...its not attached to the spare...you can easily take the cover on and off if you really wish, an the spare just sits there. I just thought it was a TDL kinda thing.

Macromonkey,

Actually I think boneheadz is right. If you get a flat, the full sized tire won't fit in the well that the spare came out of, you need to attach it on top of the floor, and to attach it, you need that piece. If you check the owner's manual

Check your owner's manual. You have to swing that bracket up and pop the hole cover out of the center of the table (put it in your glovebox for replacing later), replace the table/cover over the empty spare tire space and then mount the flat tire (upside down) on top of everything.
