Hi all!

I have enjoyed lurking here the last few days. On Saturday my wife and I bought a 06. This was kind of a impulse buy. My wife has to go back home to Detroit for a couple months and did not want to take her S 2000. We quickly sold her car and got a E. I prefer to always buy from a private party, but time is short and Car Max made it easy. I never had much interest in this type of vehicle, but after driving it, it just felt right. We drove a couple of other small SUV's and found them to be junk. Now some questions.

1. What is EX-P? Base model? High end model? Is seems to have upgraded wheels and a sunroof.

2. What mods are a must? I found a big storage armrest on Ebay. It already has a armrest but this would be a nice upgrade. I would like a brush guard as well.

I had more questions but cant remember them right now. I will add them later.

Thank You! I'm happy to be here.

Welcome!!

Now post more pics of the Pantera!!!!!

I see pictures of Es all day on here, give me some 351 Cleveland!!!!

Oh sorry, you had some questions. HMMMM, still staring at the yellow!!!

In 06, the Element came in LX, EX, and EX-P.
LX was the bottom of the line, EX-P top. The P stands for Painted panels.
Most Es will have the fenders, quarterpanels, etc all unpainted in grey or black,
or even blue plastic. The sunroof comes on all 4wd E's. The wheels on your E are aftermarket.

As far as must do mods, that is up to you. There are lot of DIY mods here
that I think are must haves. Others will say WHY?

Keep us posted, and more pics of the E.
Oh, did I mention I wanted more pics of the Pantera?????? :D

Nice Element----even almost the same color. It looks like the S2000 after an all day buffet. I'm jealous, your garage has better toys than mine. :D

All the mods are great except one, Pass PDL, which we removed. Not good to give passengers too much power. This Honda is not like our others---it will lock you out when given the opportunity.

Oh, and WELCOME! Others will be by shortly for fitting of your new jacket. ;-)

Welcome to the group - as aztecRol said, more Pantera pic's please

As for your questions
1. EX-P = Element with painted panels ( you may know that the early ones had the grey panels)
2. Must do mods - either the home depot grill guard or some other grill guard especially for the bottom ( I have a cloud rider grill guard on mine)

The E-bay large arm rest is also nice - I have one of those also

The FAQ/How To's is a great place to look @ mod's etc
Search works best when you go to the topic/area first, then search

Good luck and welcome again

Thank you for all the Welcomes. My Pantera is in Ohio in many pieces. The car in the pic is my Lamborghini. I have many pictures because the car is a dream come true for me. Here is a few, let me know if you want more. I will also get a few more of the E before it leaves tomorrow morning.

Welcome!!

The wheels on your E are aftermarket.

:D

You must be right. I can't find them on any other E. I think they look good and they have Honda centers.

Here are more pics. The E goes to Detroit tomorrow.:-(

This is a AWESOME forum!

I want to apologize to you. I KNEW that was a Lambo, but I read your
sig, DetroitDetomaso, and I saw the DETROIT on the Lambo's license plate,
and well my assumptions got the better of me. Please tell the Lambo I am
SORRY for calling it a Pantera!!! I am so ASHAMED!!!

Second, after gettting a better look at your rims, I think I am only half right.
I am now pretty sure they are Honda Factory Performance rims. So they are
Honda, but aftermarket from Honda. :D I have never seen HFP rims in chrome,
so that threw me off. Here is a picture of them:

These come in 17 and 18". I think I have apologized enough!!
