Hello,

I took delivery of a new '08 Element SC on May 5th (Rootbeer metallic).
Since it was a leftover, I can tell you the price was quite good.

Have really been enjoying it since we got it. Already took it to the beach loaded with gear; and used it to haul my mountain bike to the trails, twice. It's going to get a lot more use for these types of tasks, and many others that I can think of. The bike will (just) fit inside with the front wheel on, but I am planning to build a removable interior bike board as soon as my fork clamps arrive. I think it will travel better (and take up less space) with the front wheel off and the fork locked down to a stable base. I have seen some great examples of interior bike mounts posted on the forum, and I thank those of you who shared your ideas.

See you all on the highways and byways!

Jim

Of course

Thanks!

What's the point of posting something about your new car without pics? I may be a newbie, but I weren't born yesterday...;-)

Forgot to mention how I always liked the Element, but wanted them to make it with all the body panels painted. When the SC came along, I told myself that could be my next vehicle!

Oh, I will update my profile soon, but it's Florida, not South Carolina.....
