Hi folks, newbie here trying to decide between either 06 or 07 E. There are several 06's locally, some with very low mileage. Not so for 07. I did drive a manual trans 2wd today, but that made me decide I want auto trans. How much difference does the 5 speed auto make on the 07 as opposed to the 4 speed on the 06? The listings also say "4 speed + overdrive" which would ease my concerns, but I have found nothing to confirm an overdrive in any specs for the 06. Also, I;ve read here about 20 more horsepower on the 07. Not sure that is significant as much as a 5 speed or overdrive tranny would be. Any thoughts amongst the veterans? thanks in advance (tia) for any help you can provide.

Go for the '07 without a doubt. Here is why:

VSA - the most important safety feature since the seatbelt introduced in 07.
Side curtain airbags
5-speed automatic tranny
10 more HP, but you won't notice it.

With (or +) overdrive means that the top one or two gears are overdriven (engine turning slower than the tranny output shaft), it does not mean that there are additional gears. A 4-speed has 4 gears, 5 has 5, etc.

Get the 07, your life may depend on it.
