Does any one know what Honda is doing for next year, like fixing the proples from these fourms (like the max load weight, and the tire cover), and what new extras with they add(like third row seats, or scratch proof panles)? :?: I want to know this because I am saving up my money for the Element, Matrix, or a larger SUV.

im willing to bet that if there isnt enough formal complaints about the side panels scratching etc. honda will not do anything about it. it takes quite a few complaints for them to redo somthing that isnt safety related. they already have thousands of panels made, and i dought they will throw them away .the 04s will be out in the fall i think.

There will definately not be any third row seating... unless they will attach to the lowered tailgate! There is not enough room for another seat, nor much of a chance that the max load will increase. There is only so much weight you can drop and I am sure that the Honda engineers made the Element as light as they possibly could.

About the only changes you will see between the 2003 and 2004 model will be minor trim changes and possibly some new colors. The wheels may look different as well. But I wouldn't expect many changes since this was a late release model. Most new models start to appear in August/September - and some even earlier!

Just keep saving and see what you want when you are truely ready to buy. Many times something else comes along that changes your mind!

babydip369,
I like you was looking at a variety of differnet cars until I got my Element. I just wanted to see if you've gotten to go down to a Toyota dealership to test drive the Matrix. I thought it sucked! It looks cool, don't get me wrong, but when you get inside it you feel like the whole car is made of plastic and very flimsy. In the end it's your call, just make sure you go and test drive all possibilities before making a premature judgement. Good luck.
