Yeah I know the feeling. Going into the store, there's one car parked a mile away - mine. Coming out there are two, sometimes three. Oh well those people who have parked next to me in the next county have never door dinged me yet.

When I drove a Beetle, other Beetles would park near me, apparently to 'keep company' ;)

Lately though, the only other cars parked out in the back-forty with me are old cliunker POS cars. Makes me wonder if the people do that on purpose, just to annoy folks like me.

VWs are magnetic. I've seen huge clusters of them. On topic, I agree, it is odd; however, if everyone parking remotely is trying to protect their cars, then it stands to reason that yours is still safe. However, if they just wanted to get a close look at that weird Honda, then you may be at risk.

Yes, I like looking at mine over my shoulder as I walk away, checking it our from different angles. Not only do people like to park near it in lots, but I think I've spawned a movement in my parking garage at work. Its a small garage, so I'm familiar with most of the cars that are in there every day. This morning, there was a brand-new SOP in the lot. Mine used to be the only one...who knows how many we'll end up with? One of my co-workers is now desperate for one, having just returned from a week-long camping trip in a Toyota Echo, so we may have a 3rd soon. They can keep each other company in the garage while we're at work....

Watch home depot. That is where I got my first ding. I parked far away and some dolt parked right next to me and dinged my door. I have to get door guards now before other people hit my dingable doors.

I park in another zip code most of the time, yet still I come out of the store and at least one car is parked right next to me.

It kinda bugs me, because there are so many empty spots, and always someone parked right next to me....arg! I don't want to become one of those a$$holes that parks in two spots, but I just may have to!
