I just pulled up eBay to get another pair of clear side markers for the '04 (the triangular ones), and there are NONE. I googled and found one store in Korea, but they are selling the same ones I already have, where the bezel paint comes off/fades. Has anybody recently purchased a pair? I'm just looking for clear with black/grey trim (not chrome paint). I'm worried that they aren't being made anymore since the design was changed. =(

I'm pretty sure they are still being made because I bought a set about a month ago that are exactly the same as the ones in the picture you posted. You may just have to wait a bit for them to post some new ones.

Thanks. I am slightly less worried now. If they do pop up, I may buy 2 pair. My 1st eBay pair fell apart while driving (frame vs. reflector), and my second pair has faded (frame) from chrome to yellow.

Aha!

I found some. I swear they didn't pop up yesterday, but they are called side "lights" not side "markers" (like the old listings). They are $12/pair which is less than half of what they used to go for. I picked up 2 pair. Here is the info for all. Only one seller I found. Only two left.

They DO have the black frame but the face is 'reflector' as opposed to some that are 'clear' with the reflecting area on the inside surfaces only.

How did these work out for you? Easy install? Quality?
No problems. Shipped fast. Pieces fit. Too early to judge longevity. My 2004 pair fell apart (frame vs. clear front) after 2-3 years. I have no way to tell if they are the same or different manufacturer. Install is via fingers pulling out old ones.

So you literally just peel out the old one and plop in the clear one? no screws or adhesives?
They are held in with plastic tabs. Sometimes annoying to remove without tools but you will damage your bumper if you use tools. The bulbs twist into place.

I got a set of these from the same seller. They look great and at less than $15 not heavy on the wallet. I ran a leak test on mine running it under the sink. One had a slight area where water to penetrate between the black frame and the clear lens portion and can get inside.

I took clear RTV silcone (permatex brand) and beaded all around the border where that seam meets on both and then wiped it off with a paper towel so that the silicone would only set in the gap. Now they are completely waterproof and you can't see any silicone sealant anywhere.

more info

Per PM questions:

-no bulbs were included with this set. sometimes they are, depending on the seller. read listings carefully.

-orange/amber light bulbs are easy to find at auto parts stores and/or internet. you can get orange, clear, mirror, LED. all of those variations are available that light up orange. depending on your state/city, certain other colors MAY be legal.

Wow, shipping on these is now $10.95. Not $3.95.

Kinda riduculous since I'm positive they're light as hell and would come in some small bubblewrap envelope...
on eBay?
because I just ordered some on 7/27/10 and shipping was $3.95.
The difference in shipping is likely due to Who's Ur Daddy? being in Canada.

Hey all you groovy clear marker people make sure that you do this easy mod to turn your markers into blinkers too.... if you have not already. SEEN HERE

I have been running these LED's for three years now. Still like the amber color better than anything else I've seen! Part # "WLED-AHP6" (Amber).

Please post some images after you get your install done!

Well, only 8 months and one lens fell out SOMEWHERE. I don't have it, so I can't fix it. When I popped them out to put in an ugly older pair, the lens fell out of the second one too =( I'm going to but another pair, and try gluing/sealing them, and see how long that lasts.

How are YOURS holding up, having additional sealant?

When changing out the lens on my prior 03 E, it just falling out was a worry. The original was really in there but the new one (NOS Honda part) just slipped right in and fit a little loose. I cleaned both the marker light housing and all points it makes contact on the car, ran a bead of clear silicone, let it tack up, then popped the part in. It held it just enough so it didnt wiggle but could also be popped back out (I tried a week later) with no issues.

I meant the lenses fell out. The housings have always been fine.

Where can I find Clear Side Marker Lights for 05 Element

I'm looking for clear side marker lights for my 05 Element. I bought a pair from eBay a few months back and one of the lenses fell out somewhere. I like the look of the clear but now I can't find any replacements. I looked on eBay and couldn't find any anymore. Someone recommended www.streetbeatcustoms.com but they are saying that they've been discontinued. I just wondered if anyone out there knows where I can find some.

Here's a picture of what they used to look like on my Element:
