Was there all week, and No one owns an Element there
Hey now... there are lots of E's in Omaha, sorry you missed us (and not as many pickups and Buicks as you might expect... remember, we went against the rest of Nebraska and gave one electoral vote for Barack... this isn't red territory ) ).

There used to be some very active forum members from Omaha (Bob, Pugmom, etc)... unfortunately, they've largely disappeared (along with myself... as I only check in once in a blue moon).

I picked up a new 2010 EX last Monday and joined the forum tonight. Had fun playing in the snow the last couple days with the 4wd.
Congratulations... and welcome to EOC !

The E does just fine in the snow, doesn't it.)

Thanks! I was hoping there were a few more people from around the area on the forums.

The E does pretty well for having OEM tires. Not quite as good as the Dodge Ram 4x4 we traded off for it though, but not bad. The E is definately easier to manuever than the Ram when it was in 4wd. The E is quite a bit better on gas!

Though, to be honest, I'm not 100% as happy with the mileage the E has been getting. On our trip to North Iowa for Christmas we pulled 21.3, 18.5, 21.5 and 18.7 mpg. I'm hoping that it will improve once the car gets broken in.
I have seen noticeable degradation in mileage when running winter blends... and especially ethanol. If you don't already... pay the few cents a gallon extra for non-ethanol... it will get enough of an improvement in mileage to more than pay for the difference. There's no question... WIND makes a difference as well... let's face it, this vehicle has the drag coefficient of a storage shed on wheels.

Funny, we used to have a 5.9L Dodge Durango before the E... it did go through snow like nobody's business (nice tow vehicle too)... but you could practically hear it sucking the gas.

There used to be a few other Element folks on the forum... in fact, we got together a couple of times. Get your EOC window sticker... perhaps others will find their way here.

Shot from one of the EOC meets in town... my wife and I are standing next to the ABM E.

I still need to tie up with you crazy fools when I'm down there sometime

Nice pic. What types of meets are/were there in Omaha? Any interest in future meets?
