For two years I have been wanting to get a CRV, but when the Element came out I just had to give it a try and of course thats all it took. I've been on the list for one three weeks now and have a feeling it will be six weeks or more before I actually get it. I've looked at all colors and finally decided on the Orange. I also have started buying accessories on the internet since so much cheaper and dealer said they would have no discounts etc. on them. I have been following the Elements owners club page for some time and have found it to be fountain of infomation. Thanks for bringing me closer to my future Element. Buy the way I am far from there target group age. 47 male with young heart

Yogi,

Great, thanks for the glowing remarks. :D

The boss did a great job setting this up. I hope you get your Element soon, it is worth the wait though
Welcome Yogi!!

Glad you like this crowd (great gang of minds eh?)

How many places have you checked for your orange element?
Dealers each received a different quantity and colors too.. so you might want to broaden your hunt.

Did they give you an idea how long your wait would be? When I contacted my dealer, in november they said my blue would be in, in January and January it was here.. so seems they have a good idea.. if they don't you might want to move onto the one who does know.

We do have a couple resident dealers who pop in from time to time.. they may be a great source of help getting your orange element too!

What state are you in? I know i did see 2 orange elements on Ebay in California.. southern CA I believe.

Again good luck!

Yogi, are you wanting a DX or EX, 2 or 4WD? We have an orange EX 2WD auto available right now, if you are not too far from TX or don't mind traveling for one I would be more than happy to help you. We do not charge over sticker and don't load the E's with any accessories unless you want them.

If I can be of assistance give me a call, I will be at the office tomorrow Saturday from 8:30 till 4, then I have to work at the car show till 10 pm...yuck!!!

Let me know if I can help you
I Live on Cape Cod and there is only one Honda Dealer on the Cape. I waant a 2WD Auto in the Orange. My sales rep. told me that he hadn't gotten in there February Allotment letter yet, so had no idea. It has been 4 weeks since I gave deposit on order. I'll give tow more week and then start to press issue. I can wait as long as I know I will have by April. At least buying Accessories now makes me feel closer.

Yogi,

You might have to think about going off Cape. While that means taking the tunnel (sorry, wife grew up in Harwich), it might get you the Element faster than the dealership in Hyannis.
Yogi: definately spread your search out, and you don't even need to drive around, make calls, send emails.. and see who can help you first, and you can also get your price bids with out alot the sitting and waiting game some places play..

try carpoint.com & carsdirect.com you enter what you want, and they have the dealers contact you.. sooo nice and easy.. plus it helps you field which dealers are cool and which are not!

Good luck & keep us posted!

Hey car_man_761, too bad you don't work down here in Houston...I'd like a 2wd EX in Black...with maybe some carpet floor mats and fog lights! :D

Right now I'm just trying to find someone to buy my 2002 Jeep Wrangler X. I still owe over $18K on it, so trading it in would be a financial disaster! I'm getting married in a year, so I have to work out the best deal possible this time!

I can't wait to test drive an Element. With the way gas prices are going, however, I might be forced to buy an Insight to get me to downtown Houston everyday. j/k!
