I didn't think I liked the Orange until I saw it live. WOW it is too cool. I just might have to pick me up one of those when the 5spd AWD comes out.
Did anyone elses mind change on colour once you saw the wonderful elements live in action.?

Yep - I didn't like the black at all until I saw it in person - then it was my favorite and I bought one!

My first choice was sop. It was also my dad first choice. We bought together and he had first dibs on the sop the had coming in. In the show room was a nighthawk black. I though it looked great but when I sat in it I was sold. I loved the metalic grey on the seats and dash. Despite it looking like a 50s hearse and its tough to keep clean I love it. When I feel like drawing more attention I just borrow dad sop.

I have not seen the orange other than in the brochure...but I already know I want it! This is so not the car that I ever thought I would be buying -- I have always liked boring 4-door sedans in conservative colors like white, gold, silver, etc. -- but I almost feel like since I am buying this crazy-looking car anyway, I might as well buy the most shocking color they have. It is the most liberating feeling! I imagine it will feel even better to actually own it!

I knew I wanted the Orange once I saw it in the brochure. I was hooked, I thought the green was gonna look terrible. ONce I saw one, I was torn between the SOP and GG. But in the end I went with SOP. robably thinking I should have got GG since sooo many people are getting hte SOP. Oh well.

At first I wanted blue. Saw it at the dealer... allergic to the blue dash... settled on Shoreline Mist for the interior. Ordered it.

On receipt liked the way it looked, but not the way I looked in it [by method of looking at reflection in driver's window from the outside.] The dealed dissed my trade so I walked.

Ended with black from a different dealer. Happy.

I glimpsed it from the road, on the bottom floor of a parking garage set way back from the road. I have no idea how I even saw it except that I have Element Radar. Of course I had to pull over and check it out. I found it to be...EVEN COOLER than I had imagined. In fact, I think it is cooler than I am! What do you do when the car you want is cooler than you are?

You either buy it or get a personality transplant! Your choice, depending on which you think is preferable!!

By the way, my E is a GG and it's way more cool than I am (judging by which of us gets the more looks). I saw two SOPs at my dealer's sitting side by side in the sunshine and they were rather too bright to be cool!

I can't believe they don't offer the E in a simple white!!!
I've always liked white simply because it's the highest visibility color on the highway at distance, (a safety thang), and because it's actually more, yes MORE forgiving of minor amounts of dirt than most other colors.

But perhaps more shocking was the reaction that both I, and my girlfriend had to the all black version of the E. Now, living in the American SE, I don't really want an all black vehicle of any description, just because they tend to be heat traps. But, seeing one in person, it looked somehow sinister and unfriendly. (Just a personal opinion, not meaning to be of offense to any that like that color scheme.) I couldn't see how it would look any better after a few hundred miles down dirt roads.

The only other one that the local dealer had on site was the silver, which left me , simply cold. I still have yet to see either the orange or green in person, but the blue didn't get it for me, either. I'm hoping that the green or shoreline mist will really grab me. I really want one of these E's like I've never wanted another vehicle before, but it'd be about my usual luck if I found the vehicle of my dreams, but only available in colors of my nightmares.

Has anybody else wondered why they don't offer the E in something like Xterra yellow? I'd buy one without hesitation. Attention grabbing; heat rejecting; highly visible at a distance for max safety on the highway, and just overall cool.

'Course I suppose that there would be those wags who'd compare it to the "short bus", but screw them. It'd be cool. Extreme yellow with metallic gray panels and light gray interior. Yeah, that'd work!!!

Hey Wonder,
I am with you. I am holding until the '04 models come out and see what new color options is coming out. I really like the Xterra yellow and hoping that they will come out with a yellow element....of course, yellow is my favorite color 8)

The Orange must be seen in person. Don't rely on the brochure - it looks much better live. I like the SOP, but chose SLM after comparing side by side. It was close, but I could see myself getting tired of the SOP eventually...
