P2422 - EVAP vent valve stuck closed?
Man I have been having trouble with this.
Code just all of a sudden popped up this morning.
Spent some time researching, but doesn't seem to be that common. Not rare, but not deeply discussed.
So what unit is the Evap Vent Valve? I haven't been able to find a single picture on the forum showing this that still works. I've seen people say its under the car, some say it's in the engine bay. No one mentioning part numbers. One dude talks about a spider, Honda has a TSB talking about spiders. I found on youtube, someone talking about it, I think it was that first guy, and I found that part he was talking about, but mine was empty. Dusty... but far from clogged.
Side note, it's possible its a gas cap.. since I'm starting to suspect my gas cap is not oem.. but it never had this code before and my gas cap doesn't go through much wear since I don't drive this that often at all.

Perfect answer ?Gas cap would be the first thing I would try if it's not an OEM.
I see no diagram.Which part am I looking for on this diagram?

My 2003 2wd just threw this code and i also dont see a diagram. I realize this thread is old but im in the same situation. I dont know what to look for. I did just order a service manual off ebay but and tips would be appreciated!

That vent valve is back by the rear left wheel. there is a big plastic box (maybe with a lid, maybe not) and the vent valve inserts into that. it has two hoses and a harness plug.My 2003 2wd just threw this code and i also dont see a diagram. I just bought a 2009 the other day and got that code. Problem is, is no body has the part in stock.
