I'm an admitted cheapskate and am always looking to save $$

Here's what I did :

Using a 4' X 4' foam floor pad from Harbor Freight (14.99) plus double face tape (1.97) and a roll of 18"x72" drawer liner (5.99).

The drawer liner became the mats for the second row. The remainder (about 18"x24") was placed under the foam pad to prevent slipping.

I will buy regular rubber mats for the front (I'm not that cheap) but the back looks pretty good.

We have this stuff on the floor in a room in our basement. It holds up well though it can get little cuts in it here and there. I'd be surprised if you really needed the tape and no-slip mats to hold it in place. Another good use for these things is to lay on when working under a car. I keep 2-3 in the garage and use them all the time.

Check Sams Club and Costco too, that is the cheapest place I've found to buy them.
