Hello,
I bought my E in Aug 2009 and I started doing some stuff to make it my own. In regards to the wheels, I had a guy take my rims off and paint it Glossy Black...I left the middle Honda logo unpainted...I think they turned out pretty good...I'll post some pics...the pics are pretty bad b/c its dark outside....and the wheels are dirty b/c its been raining alot in NC...
ps. i wanna sleep in my E, but i think my breath'll make the new car smell fade :(

You could do it yourself if search Youtube but I had a friend do it for me.
He charged me 150 for materials
250 for labor
90 for a tire shop to take off, and put back on
so it was 490 total...
Heres a video I watched,

wow, a friend charged you more for labor than it cost for materials? some friend... for that price you could have almost got a set of black wheels and kept or sold your factory ones and ended up paying less than that. just saying:rolleyes:
dont get me wrong, i like the look, just kinda expensive.

i'm lazy and rich..NOT
i am half of that statement myself :) but the other half that i am not causes me to do alot of things myself that i may not have attempted if i was both things ins said statement :D
They look fantastic! Should have came that way from honda.
Okay, I'll step out of my usual curmudgeonly stance and say:

WOW! Those really look sharp! I have never seen a rattle can paint job come anywhere near the shine that you have on your wheels. Well done.
That looks sweet! I Like the new '09 six spoke alloys. I wish I had some on my '08. I love black wheels. I hate chrome and bling... stealth is always cooler than flash!
Black wheels=smooove. I also can't afford to do it properly ..aka: buy aftermarket wheels, and that makes youtube vids and rattlecans very tempting but still.........I'm still waiting for my pair to swell. I have rattlecanned alot of the trim on my E. all very nice.;-)
looks really good!
