I have the same thing,, it will roll 1 or 2 inches then stop dead. I have pushed on it to see if it will move once it is done it's 1 or 2 inches and it won't budge.

Parking Brake
If I'm parked on a hill leaning back, it does fine. If I'm parked leaning foward, it rolls some. I pull the E brake all the way up, ( I said "E" brake) and it still rolls some. Anyone else have this problem?

Exactly the same thing here. Are we hurting our trannies?
Try it with the car in neutral.
If the car does the same thing, it has nothing to do with the transmission.
If it rolls, catch it!
BTW, make sure you point your front wheels at the curb.
