After we picked our Element we went to Florida to visit my parents and take in tsome Disney and beach time. We were at Ft. Myers beach sitting in traffic and people were walking along staring at the Elephant. There was a group of guys walking along and we hear a bang, then people laughing. The guy was staring at my car and walked into a street sign.
Thats when I told my wife I hated the car because you cant pick nose.....someone is always watching.

One day I was driving on the interstate when i was passed by a ragtop mustang. The kid in the passenger seat was staring intently at me whilst picking his nose.

On the way to the beach on Saturday, a Harley pulled alongside at 60mph. The rider gave the E a long hard looking over for a whole minute and as he pulled ahead he looked over his shoulder and gave a thumbs up. To be admired by a Harley rider - one of life's little ambitions!

I pass through 4 tollbooths on my commute to and from work and the operators are always curious; asking how I like it, what is it... etc.

Also I get a lot of looks driving it down the highway- lots of second, and third glances. I just hope no one has and accident!

When we went to Disney the guy you pay for a parking pass asked me a few questions about it and took a quick peek inside. I also had a guy stop me at HomeDepot and ask if he couldl ook in it. You always have to keep it clean because you never know who is looking in.

Its kinda sad, i've almost had to stop going to any drive thru, because anytime i pay the attendant pokes thier head back out and asks "ummmm no offense, What the heck are you driving?!?"

And i've come to find there is a normal response to anyone who asks either what i am driving or what kinda of car i bought it normally goes like this:

Oh nice car, What is it?

Honda Element.

A what? Who makes it?

Its a Honda, and its a new model.

Oh......

Is it a Hybrid?!?

BriBoy - doin' the same thing acting as tour guide and Honda marketing rep. My saleman gave me a handful of cards which i keep in the center console. Whenever anyone looks at my E, I give them a card with my name on the back. My saleman will give me $100 if he sells a car to one of these people.

Was the guy at Home Depot a chubby black guy? I think he a pal of mine! He told me he asked a guy about his E at Home Depot! I live in KC and he is in LA!
