Drove 75 miles to Bill Rogers Honda in Albany, Oregon for:
2006 EX-P AWD 5sp Manual in Kiwi
$20,150 base
$550 destination
$218 TTL (4-year tags)
No options, and they removed the splashguards at my request

Grand total $20,918, cash, and none of the usual BS that we used to expect from car dealers. Very nice buying experience.

Hello Everyone!! New to the EOC and have been shopping around for a while. Got two quotes that I recieved for the E in the past month. These are from the Hudson Valley, NY area.

2006 EX AWD e-price of $20,916.00

and a new 2005 left on the lot for $21,398.00 almost bought it. Got this one the first time I went to test drive the E and fell in love with it. that was 1/09/06 so there is quite a big difference and boy am I glad I didn't buy from them.

Hope it helps!! looking forward to finding out a bunch of info and eventually becoming an E driver sooner than later!!

I test drove a leftover 2005 EX AWD AT the other day at Herb Chambers Seekonk. Pre-haggle price was $19,500, and it had a small stain on the back of one of the rear seats that I could've used for leverage. :) I'm guessing I would have gotten a great deal on it. Too bad the wife hates orange. :(

Majestic Honda is like 10 miles from my house, so I got a couple internet quotes from them as well. Not bad starting points:

2005 Honda Element EX 4WD Automatic Transmission
The sticker price: $22,240 ($21,725 base price plus $515 destination)
The dealer invoice: $20,584 ($20,069 base invoice plus $515 destination)
Honda to dealer incentive: $500
Majestic Honda Online price $20,084!

2006 Honda Element EX 4WD Automatic Transmission
The sticker price: $22,375 ($21,825 base price plus $550 destination)
The dealer invoice: $20,716 ($20,166 base invoice plus $550 destination)
Majestic Honda Online price $21,216!

Just got our E today. We picked up a 2005 EX AWD for 17995.00 + tax, title, etc.. Thought it was a pretty good deal. It had 12,850 miles when we picked it up.

Is this a decent price compared to what anybody else may have picked up for a used 2005?

We're totally psyched to personalize our E and get good suggestions from everybody else on the EOC.

We'll post some pics soon!

What's the standard price increase from 2WD to AWD? I didn't price AWD - ours was base $19,200 (incl Dest - tax is so variable from state to state-and ya gotta pay it that I never add that in the total for comparison) and Glynis' was base $20,178 (incl Dest) so I am assuming 1k more for AWD? Is that pretty standard?

Dang, Glynis -
Way to go! You get to be Queen of Easiest-but-Best Element-Buying Experience for this month!
I'm near'bout ready to fly into DC and see whar Heidi can do for me! Hmmm - brother in Arlington can pick me up at airport, can visit with kid in college in VA, break in the new E to admiring glances all across the USA on I-10 headed West. Now, just to come up with cash-flow for that week.

Great deal, woman!:D

Jan 28th 2006----05' EX AWD w/splash guards, 41 miles $18,900. I was being to think I might have over paid, since I didn't look up invoice or use the buying tips I found here after I bought the E, I guess not.

Damn, Heidi is quoting me $18900 for a 5 speed EX-P AWD! Why cant other dealers match her? What makes her dealership so special?
