i saw a tango red pearl E at the honda dealer near me with 42,787 miles on her. they are asking $14,488-it is a certified used honda. i looked around the vehicle and the body looks fine-i will test drive it later-is this a good price for it?

...for an '07 I would say it is a good price, fair at best for an '06.
Keep in mind that many significant upgrades have been implemented in '07!!!

Unless you want a pre-'09 for some reason, the '09 quote of $20,700 is by far the best deal!!! New car, better financing terms, no hidden carp... When the pricing is that close, go NEW!!!!

Look at the '07 / '08, -- 20,000 miles for $700.-- less, and it has USED status... NO BRAINER!!! If you can shell out, and are willing to spring $20K, I would not even consider the '04, especially if you intend to drive the wheels off of it!!!

Yea...I was just wondering if there is haggle room with the used car due to the prices, but buying new does save you piece of mind about any problems a car might have in the future.

Just put a deposit down on an '05 w/ 53k miles, EX AWD, Ralleye Red w/ roof rack, running boards, fog lights, rear air deflector with brand new tires that is in AWESOME condition. $13k. A bit high, but I'm picky about it being a manual, and they are so damn hard to find these days. Dif fluid was changed on time, paint is almost flawless, interior is solid, the only thing that needs maintenance is probably the front brakes within the next 5-10k miles.

BTW, I don't like the running boards, so they will be FS soon, let me know if you're interested, I'll let them go cheap.

A dealer is offering to sell a new 2009 LX 2wd auto element for $19700 Out the door (no other fees of any kind)... is this a good deal?

I calculate that invoice is about $18800 -$1000 incentive =$17800 + tax, tags, freigh = $19,700...

How good a price is this?

I have been shopping for my first E and looking for opinions. Is $15K to much to pay for an 07 EX 4wd with 60k miles?

I am also considering an 04 EX 4wd with 80k miles for $10K.

07 AWD EX-P auto

Just got a 2007 Element AWD EX-P (kiwi metallic) auto for $17,990. It has 12,500 miles on it, one owner, clean car-fax, has the rear spoiler, mud flaps and deflectors over the windows (not sure we want to keep those or not). It had a cargo liner too, but we took that out & put in the floor mats & cargo mat we had from our previous Element (04 AWD EX auto - SOP - that we sold in December but we kept the mats). We'll add a hood deflector soon. We got a fair value on our trade.

It's nice to be back in an E!!!

2009 AWD EX 5AT for $21,580

After looking at them for 2-1/2 years, I finally bought a new '09 AWD EX 5AT today. I paid $21,580 + $400 dealer processing fee + $762 for VA Sate sales tax, registration, and title fee. Total out the door and on the road was $22,742.

After looking for about four months and waiting for the end of my Saab lease I have Finally got my E.

My preference was a MT in black, gray or red. The majority of the E’s I found was ASM. I did not consider silver or blue because I think the blue dash is hideous.

I also stayed away from dealers with prices 3 to 4 thousand above Edmonds True Market Value. I found this Certified Pre-Owned 06 EX-P AWD MT fog lights w/ 54,412 miles for $13,942.50 and $14,047.50 out the door in Bend, Oregon.

The only mods I will make 1. Add mats 2. Paint the hideous blue dash black.
