Just bought AWD 2010 EX AT with 168K miles for $5500. Only needed the AC recharged, 4 sway bar links and front brakes and rotors. Now I’m good to go! Citrus Fire Metallic. Not one speck of rust & it’s a Michigan car!

Prior cars: Camaro, Tempo, Taurus, Chevy Blazer, Kia Sportage, Nissan Pathfinder, Dodge Durango, Pontiac Grand am, THEN Honda Odyssey 2009 bought new and drove till 2018, sold for a 2011 F-150... yup back to HONDA. I’m forever HONDA now!

NOW to start the mods! ?

Here she is!

Each side has a sizeable dent - one on the driver's side suicide door, and another on the front passenger door. The price of parking the car in NYC for 13 years, I guess.

The rust really isn't too bad, at least from what I can tell. Since purchasing it at the end of April, I have:
* sourced a Yakima round bar rack, mostly from ebay and craigslist (now I need to sell the landing pads that came with it that fit a CRV)
* installed a Kenwood stereo deck from crutchfield.com (now I have the OEM deck to sell)
* installed the storage arm rest (and have to sell the original one)
* bought a cabana in hopefully mint condition on ebay (waiting for it in the mail)
* installed the Sachs SG225002 Lift Supports for the hatch (thinking about going with the StrongArm 4351 instead)

I am in search of an OEM skylight shade, and probably some carpets and/or all-weather mats. I will probably also make a set of Reflectix window coverings for camping as well.
Looks nice and a good price. Congrats!

2005 EX AWD AT, RR. 37,000 miles. $10,995. Still has hanging tag in rear area letting you know how to clean inside. Has rear sunroof cover unopened in the bag in the side cubby in the rear. Interior looks like a new car with exception of the left bolster of driver seat where they replaced with a nice color matched piece of leather.

Bought this 2005 Honda Element (don't know what else..EX?) automatic with 144,000 miles for $4K. It's our 2nd vehicle to use whenever we need it. Took it to the car wash. Fun car to drive.

My girl Ruby. A 2008 SC with the Automatic Transmission in Root Beer Metallic. Bought it just over a year ago for $11,000. At the time of purchase, she was 67,000 miles young, and now has 74,000 miles on her. After purchase I installed aftermarket Enkei EKM3 rims, R1 Concepts crossdrilled/slotted/ventilated brakes, semi-metallic brake pads, (Make a ton of dust), and genuine Honda fog lights. I have plans for many more upgrades. I'd never part with her for much less than $10k.

Nice Find! And in Root Beer Metallic, which certainly is among the coolest of all the available Element colors! And quite rare too, as it was an SC only color!

Buying that little jewel for $11K, you did very well!

2007, I think it’s an ex-p, 2wd 5 speed manual, 146,500. Had Honda inspected. Needs oil pan gasket replaced and tire inflation sensor(s). Will need tires pretty soon. Needs windshield wipers- ha.

Body doesn’t seem to have dings or defects, some rock chips on hood. Headlight haze, need sanding and coating. Has a brake light with a chip out of the bottom, hard to even see it (but seller pointed it out).

Rides well, interior mostly clean. Couple small cracks like on door plastic. Seats are nice, not worn through.

Asked $4750, bought for $4500.

I got this through CL in another state. contacted the owner 3 hours after it was listed.

Old saying about CL is true, the decent deals will be gone in under a week. Anything on there after 14 days is probably not a decent deal nor will it usually sell. I studied elements for sale on CL for 1.5 years so I knew which ones were good deals (most are not). Eventually, you find what you want with a reasonable seller, but finding that seller with the vehicle you want is tough. Most think these vehicles are worth much more than they actually are- imho.

Some have said to contact an owner when their ad has been up like a month and they may be more reasonable. In my experience, this is a waste of time and not the case. If the seller was informed and reasonable the vehicle would have already sold. This is not going to change.

Hope my gospel on CL buying helps.

Glad to hear that you bought it! I'm sure you'll have a long term relationship with the Element!

Thanks. It's going to sit in my driveway for quite a while. or, at least until I change trans fluid, investigate the oil leak, pull off the front end, fix the headlights, add gutter guard while there and detail the exterior.
