:?Sometime ago, about a month, after returning from work, I heard a buzzing noise from whithin the garage. I discovered it was coming from underneath the hood of my 2010 Element. The car had been parked in the garage for about an hour. Doors unlocked. I investigated under the hood to find the noise emmiting from the passenger side of the engine though I cannot pinpoint it. It sounds electrical. Almost like an electrical arch or an old style electrical buzzer. If I activate the keyless entry to lock and unlock the doors I can hear the drain on the electrical system as the pitch of the buzzing changes. If I turn on the ignition and immediately turn it off, the buzzing stops, and usually does not return that night.
It does not do it every time I park and sometimes its within 30 minutes and sometimes its within an hour. The times vary.
The service center at SouthMotors Honda in Miami, Florida, where I purchased the vehicle are comepletely dumbfounded. I even video taped the occurance of the mystery noise on my blackberry. The noise is very evident on the audio/video recording which I displayed to the tech. "I can't tell nothing by listening to this if the car ain't doing it now", was the reply. The tech tells me that he's never seen anything like it.
The next time it occurs, I'm going to systematically remove and replace each fuse, one by one, in the fuse panal, to see if I can narrow things down. Any ideas would be appriciated.
