Discussion Starter #1 (Edited)
I've got the intake manifold and all it's attached buddies off of my E in order to do a starter replacement. I've got a motorcycle to get around and could feasibly let the E sit in the garage a few days while waiting for a hondata gasket to get here...

...if it's actually worth it...

If not, would you guys say hit up the nearest autozone/advance/pep boys? Or should I just go grab an OEM gasket from my local dealer?

Thanks for the opinions!

Oem, no need to go all out on a stock e, plus you know it will fit.

is it necessary to replace the gasket once you fry the intake out? when i did replace my starter, somehow managed to kept the same gasket, but then, if you really need to replace, imo OE should be okay.

I had problems with my hondata intake gasket "crushing" on my turbo LS/VTEC in my integra. Not sure what caused it (maybe temp changes), but this caused the bolts on my manifold to become loose

I have one on my GSR & the intake manifold still gets hot from radiated heat. I guess it takes alittle longer to heat up so if you were drag racing it could help, but for a daily driver its not worth it IMO.
