Hi, I'm new to the board. Just thought I would post pictures of the work I've done to my element. I basically painted all the dash trim parts black,used brushed aluminum vinyl for the radio and the area around the shift plate, and painted the inside of the spedometer silver to better illuminate the spedometer lights.

Also, I made floor mats out of carpeting from home depot.

Nice. Did you use any kind of adhesion promoter on the plastic before hand?

I swear by that stuff now since doing the plastic pieces on my valve cover. That stuff will NOT come off....ever.

thanks guys! I sanded down the pieces, primed it, and used Krylon Fusion and finished it with a coat of clear coat.
