Brought an Element home last night for an extended test drive. I love it, and am planning on signing the papers today.
I did not hear any of the rattles everyone has talked about, but when you lower the rear hatch and put weight on the right side, it gives a little bit. The left side, once lowered is as low as it can go. If you push on it, it cannot go any lower. It seem there is a little slack in the wire on the right side. Is this a big deal, or typical of vehicles with hatches (I've never owned an SUV or a truck)? Is this something I can adjust, or should I ask the dealer? I'm a little leary of getting them to adjust anything in light of the squeaks and noises mentioned in other posts. I want to make sure I get this clarified before I finalize the purchase.
Thanks!
