Hello all,

Question for the group... is it possible, or practical to remove the passenger doors (both front & back) and drive the vehicle?

The reason: I will be filming a series of cycling videos and need to have the side of the vehicle open for the camera man to shoot.

If it is not practical, I could rent a mini van with a sliding door... but if possible, would rather use the Element.

Open for your thoughts, insights and suggestions.

I would highly recommend not removing them.

Getting them back on and aligned properly and not having any rattles, clunks or water leaks will be a challenge.

The doors act as a structural part of the vehicle. Pull the doors off a uni-body vehicle with an opening the size of the E's is asking from trouble.

You do realize the Element has a rear tailgate right? It would be easier to just open the rear, flip the seats up as needed and go. I also see you have an AWD so you should have a rear moon roof. This will gain you added camera angles as well.

Thank you all for your input.

I will not attempt to remove the doors, but try the rear tail gate / remove sunroof and see how it works.

Thanks again,
Tom
