That is not compatible with the LX model. The LX stereo does not have the 14-pin aux connector needed for an iPod kit. He has to replace the stereo with an aftermarket stereo.I like my radio and just wanted a way to control my ipod from the steering wheel. I found this http://www.usaspec.com/ and installed it so my ipod is in the glove box. It works very well. It uses the xm part of the radio. the xm still works also only just on the second six buttons. I didn't think it was hard to install.

Not according to the 2007-2009 Honda Element Service Manual. Per your link, there is a specific model for the LX.usaspec makes a unit that is compatable with the LX radio. H&A sells it.
