An insider trick to save some money is to buy the valet key blank and have it cut as a master key and programmed. It will do everything the master does but will be grey instead of black.

The Valet key is cheaper to buy and program from the dealer?

Programming is exactly the same but the part cost on the valet blank is usually noticeably cheaper. I’ll check my cost on them when I get a minute to compare.

This one slipped my mind completely and I never priced out the difference. So customer cost on a new master key (black) is $103 plus the programming fee. The valet key (grey) is $49. Just have the valet cut as a master and you’ll have a grey master key for half the price. The programming will cost the same regardless of type.

Fobs are easy to program at home. There should be plenty of good videos on YT to show the programming procedure. I have had good luck with the Dorman knock offs on Amazon. You’ll just need to order fobs that match the control unit under the dash.

Any decent locksmith can rekey your door locks to match your ignition key. It’s a little tedious but not difficult if you have a tumbler kit on hand.
