I live in a city with steep downtown hills. During stop and go traffic the weight of my E causes it to roll back before I jet forward. The result is a clumsy tire screech. Any ideas how to avoid or lessen this on steep grades with an automatic 2wd E?
Use the handbrake. Just pull it up and hold it while you're stationary (keep the button pressed in), and then as you gently apply gas when you're ready to move again, you'll feel the E pull against the brake and the engine revs will drop slightly. Release the brake and accelerate. Standard hill-start technique used by manual shifters!
