Hi,

I have an 2010 E with just under 1K miles on it. The shifting seem sluggish. On my way to work this morning I was driving down this hill on my way. The speedometer and the tachometer where both climbing at the same rate.

When I reached a level area, the transmission finally shifted and the tachometer dropped back to where it should be. The temp over night was in the 40's, and it was about 45 while I was driving to work.

Any ideas or do I just need to see what happens or see if this goes away.

Thanks,
Jim

AT E's have grade sensors in them. When the cars is going up or down hill, you'll notice that it holds the lower gears longer in some situations. Going down, it holds the lower gear to maximize engine braking effect, going up it will keep the engine in its optimum rpm range for power.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. It is a nice piece of info to be aware of.
