Seeing all of the glass-related issues posted here, plus already having a little tiny ding from a road rock at about 500 MI, has made me wonder about my glass insurance. I've got a $250 deductable right now. It'd raise my premium to go $0 of course, but I'm wondering if maybe it'd be a good idea anyway...

Thoughts?

I would guess it depends on how much it increases your premium. If it's going to cost you $250 a year more for insurance it probably isn't worth it.

My insurance agent says a $50 comprehensive deductable will cost me an extra $60 a year. Think it's a good investment? Maybe even just for the peace of mind...

Hmmm...

Peace of mind is a good thing.

I'd say do it.

I've always gone with $0 deductible comprehensive. For glass breakage or vandalism, there is no out-of-pocket expense at all. And claims for comprehensive don't increase your rates. :D
