Hey everyone! I decided to tackle the infamous sleeper platform build. I borrowed from so many builds on this forum. Thank you to everyone who took the time to post clear and informative photos and detailed materials lists. I’m 6Ft so length of the platform and head room were my two biggest factors. I got everything from Home Depot with the exception of the bottom side latch I ordered from Lowe’s. (This latch is perfect because it’s small but well built and is spring loaded which helps me get a tight fit). I used some left over pine 1x4 pieces to add extra support when I mounted the legs. The rear 2 boards are connected by a long piano hinge. The front board is connected from underneath with a spring loaded latch. I also did the rear hatch interior release mod so we’re not climbing out of the from seats to exit. I used a leftover bike brake cable. Happy

Materials used
-(14) 3/8 Metal flanges
-(7) 3/8 12” metal pipe (threaded both ends)
-(2) 3/4” 4x8 plywood
-(1) Piano hing
-1 Roll indoor/outdoor carpet
-3M 90 adhesive spray
