I'm really interested in how this went together, especially how the slats connected to the PVC. I'd also like to see his adaptation to the vertical blind track...

Could someone describe how it looked when the photos worked? Oh please...

Ray Al,

Some questions: where did you find the vertical blind track? Great way to adapt. I've been looking at Unistrut and the like but it's costly.

I love the idea of stripping the back seat down to its frame and building a bed on that. Brilliant. If I find some second-hand back seats I might use that idea...

Place an ad on Kijiji & Craiglist and check for give away or low cost vertical blinds on those sites. The longer the width, the better... in whatever shape... all you need is the rails watch out for the 90* angles... use a small hammer to get the sharp angles rounded otherwise you'll hurt yourself or tearup your material!

Paid 40$ for the beaten up rear pass seat... heavier though compared to my full size platform... but sturdier!

Since this build in may 2018, i've reduced the width to 21inchs for esthethic purpose. Didn't need the extra 2inch wider than the mat.

Noticed the fishing rod rack above? ;)
